Abstract
Nanoparticles of Fe and Fe50Ni50 were synthesized by inert gas-condensation method under pure helium atmosphere. The prepared nanoparticles samples were examined by high-resolution transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and Mössbauer spectroscopy. The synthesized nanoparticles consisted of core-shell type structure nearly spherical shape with a size comprised within the range 4-70Â nm and they occur as clusters or chains. The Mössbauer measurements as well as X-ray diffraction showed, in both cases, the presence of iron-oxide phases.
