Abstract

For a fast computation, the calculation of the iron loss is often executed with utilisation of the analytical formulas. In these formulas the total iron loss is estimated by summing up different loss components, like hysteresis, classical eddy current and excess losses. These loss components can be also described by analytical expressions. The more difficult problem is the iron loss estimation in the case where two or more harmonics of the flux coexist. One of them establishes magnetic work condition, whereas other harmonics have too small amplitudes to change the work condition. The conclusions originating directly from described cases enabled us to construct a new calculation algorithm of the power loss, under the deformed magnetic flux condition.
