Abstract
Gold nanoparticles manifest one or more plasmon resonances, resulting in enhanced absorption and scattering of light at the resonant frequencies. The absorbed light is converted to heat. Here we analyze how the resulting localized heat generation might be exploited to generate nanoscale polymer arteifacts.
