Abstract
This paper presents a brief summary of recent electrical transport, magnetization and specific heat measurements on U(Ru1-xRhx)2Si2U(Ru1-xRhx)2Si2 (x=0,2,2.5,3x=0,2,2.5,3, and 4%) in magnetic fields up to 45 T. The results uncover the formation of multiple phases near their putative metamagnetic quantum critical points at low temperatures. From the established magnetic field versus temperature phase diagram in our series of samples, we find a clear correlation between the field-dependence of the phases and that of the putative quantum critical point. This provides an archetypal example that the field-tuned metamagnetic quantum criticality is intimately related to the formation of thermodynamic phases.
