Abstract
We present a study of Nd1âxSrxMnO3(x=0,0.1,0.5) high-energy Raman active excitations in the 800-2000Â cmâ1 range and infrared-active excitations in the 400-2000Â cmâ1 range. In comparison with previous LaMnO3 and La1âxSrxMnO3 orbiton and phonon experimental and theoretical studies, we interpret the high-energy excitations as the result of orbital and phonon mode mixing.
