Abstract
Behavior of energy losses in disordered systems with quasi-static hysteresis is analyzed in this paper. Random coercivity interacting switch model with local (short range) and global (infinite range) interactions is taken as a paradigm for such systems. The possibility to separate that part of energy loss, which is due to interactions, is demonstrated. It is shown that these excessive losses play an important role in systems with positive local interactions and relatively minor role when local interactions are negative. It is also shown that disorder decreases excess losses in systems with local interactions and that excess losses disappear entirely in systems with global interactions.
