Abstract
Micrometer-scale ferroelectric domain formation in Y-cut congruent LiNbO3 crystals by scanning with a needle-shaped electrode was studied. Dependence of the domain formation on scanning directions was shown. We propose a probable mechanism of this dependence taking into account a space charge injected from the electrode.
