Abstract
⺠We calculate the elastic stiffness of the MgB2 and MgB2C2 compounds using DFT. ⺠The stiffness is used to predict lattice parameters of carbon-doped MgB2 thin films. ⺠The predicted results agree with the experimental data up to 40% C doping.
