Abstract
⺠The effect of Zn on Tc of Y123 compounds has been studied as a function of hole content (p). ⺠Zn induced rate of suppression of Tc was found to be highly p dependent. ⺠Non-monotonic and anomalous variation of Tc with Zn was found around the 60 K plateau. ⺠We have discussed various models that can possibly explain this anomalous behavior.
