Abstract
The recent progress in crystal growth of MgB2 is reviewed. For pure MgB2, a survey of the researches on new phase in Mg–B system and refinement of Mg–B phase diagram is given. The advantages and disadvantages of high pressure growth technique are revisited, introducing the new result with utilization of MgO reaction cells. The results of crystal growth of chemically substituted MgB2 are also summarized with the focus of solubility limit, actual compositions, lattice parameters and Tc. Possible origins for the discrepancies between the data from different research groups are discussed.
