Abstract
We study the dependence of the critical current on applied magnetic field in Josephson junctions with an InAs quantum well as the coupling medium between Nb superconductors. The junctions are mesoscopic in length, L, but not in width, W â«Â L. The critical current exhibits a complex dependence on applied field that does not resemble a Fraunhoffer pattern. We discuss the data in light of previous studies of self-field and non-local effects in planar junctions, effects of structural non-uniformity, and recent studies of flux trapping in Nb films.
