Abstract
We study the possible edge-pinning effects on the electronic transport and vortex-flow motion in the low-temperature (T) liquid phase of thin amorphous MoxSi1−x films with the Corbino-disk (CD) and strip(-like) contact geometries. For CD, we observe the two-dimensional (2D) field-driven superconductor-insulator transition (FSIT) at T = 0 and anomalous vortex-flow motion at low T, suggestive of strong quantum fluctuations, which are similar to those observed in usual strip-shaped films. These results indicate that the edge effects are not important in our disordered films and that both the 2D FSIT and anomalous vortex motion at low T are intrinsic properties.
