Abstract
The Taiwan Photon Source (TPS) is a 3-GeV synchrotron facility designed to have a low-emittance electron beam and to be maintained with top-up operation. A TPS injection section (length 12 m) contains four injection kickers (K1–K4) and one injection septum outside vacuum to provide the stored beam with a horizontal bump for beam injection off axis. Kickers K2 and K3 and the injection septum are placed in an adjustable plate, which can provide displacement of 5 mm for the injected beam near the stored beam so as to decrease the kicker strength. The construction of the injection section is completed; we here describe its design and manufacture, and present some test results for the injection section.
