Abstract
⺠The ATLAS inner tracker will be extended with a so called Insertable B-Layer (IBL). ⺠The IBL modules are required to withstand irradiation up to 5Ã1015 neq/cm2. ⺠Two types of silicon pixel detector technologies (Planar and 3D) were tested in beam. ⺠The irradiated sensor efficiency exceeds 97% both with and without magnetic field. ⺠The leakage current, power dissipation, module active area ratio requirements are met.
