Abstract
A structured scintillator has been fabricated by filling a deep pore array in silicon with scintillating material. The pitch of the pores is significantly smaller (15.7μm, hexagonal pattern) than for scintillators previously produced by Scint-X. The resulting MTF curves are presented, and show an improvement of 50–100% compared to other scintillator types. The camera used for comparisons is a Vosskühler CCD-11000XR detector.
