Abstract
In the present work we try to study the difference between the conventional scintillator and the scintillator with Eu-organic complexes in response to α-particle of 239Pu source. It is shown that polystyrene-based scintillator film with 4 wt% of Eu-organic complex have 5650 photons/MeV light output for α-particle of 5.4 MeV energy. This is 7 times higher than light output of the conventional scintillator.
