Abstract
A high magnetic field with a fast-rise time can be achieved even for magnets with multi-turn coils by using the excitation method over the saturation point. Through several experiments, it is shown that the proposed two- or three-turn coil magnets can be useful for ejection from particle accelerators. This method is expected to be further improved to enable the application of a high-impedance pulse generator with faster-rise outputs, and to save energy for pulse forming devices.
