Abstract
External Bremsstrahlung spectra produced in thick target compounds like lead chloride (PbCl2) and cadmium oxide (CdO) by β particles of 147Pm (225 keV) were measured using 3.8 cm×3.8 cm NaI(Tl) crystal. The spectra were unfolded using Liden–Starfelt procedure. The unfolded spectra were compared with Tseng–Pratt theory. The measured spectra show fairly good agreement at low energy end of spectrum and some deviation (less than 10%) at higher energy end of spectrum with the theory. The estimation of Bremsstrahlung dose from the measured/theoretical spectrum is also discussed.
