Abstract
Ion-feedback afterpulse spectra were investigated with the autocorrelation time spectrometer method. The arrival time distributions of the first and second afterpulses and their time and charge distributions were studied for different types of photomultipliers. The dependence of the afterpulse time distributions on the spectral light composition illuminating the photocathode is shown. Selection criteria for photomultipliers with low intensity of afterpulses are also established.
