Abstract
Blackbody photodetachment from a relativistic H-H- beam in the presence of an electric field has been calculated. The loss rates as functions of beam energy, ambient temperature, and field strength are discussed. Field stripping supplies constraints on the combination of beam energy and curvature of the beam line.
