Abstract
This paper describes the principal components of the Level 1 trigger system for the DÃ experiment during Run IIb of the Tevatron collider at Fermilab. This trigger system was designed to take advantage of the increased luminosity and shorter bunch spacing provided by the Tevatron in Run II. We place an emphasis on the key concepts that are potentially valuable for future experiments.
