Abstract
The CMS Tracker Outer Barrel was integrated and validated in 2006. The testing procedures used to verify the assembly work are described, and the resulting quality of the detector is discussed. Additional studies have been carried out using an auxiliary setup, in parallel with the integration work, to qualify more in depth some specific aspects of the system, namely geometrical precision and stability of the sub-assemblies, and electronic coupling between neighboring channels.
