Abstract
For a range of beam dynamics problems, high-precision measurement of frequency, amplitude and phase of a beam oscillation mode is required. The problem of extraction of oscillation modes from a series of equally time-spaced data samples is studied. Discrete Fourier Transform and methods of its refinement are analyzed in the view of accuracy limitations and applicability.
