Abstract

This paper presents results of titanium implant for bone analyses using three-dimensional microtomography (3D-μCT). The aim of this work is investigate the internal structure of those kinds of samples, computing parameters that are very important to characterize the type of the titanium sample. These parameters are: the material volume to total volume, the material surface to material volume, the bar thickness, the bar separation, the bar number and the preferential degree—anisotropy. The results are important to prove the potential of the μCT in respect to analyze this kind of microstructure.
