Abstract
The method of analysis of total absorption γ-ray spectra obtained in β-decay measurements is studied. The analysis problem is reduced to the solution of a linear inverse problem. The performance and systematic uncertainties of different inverse algorithms are studied. The maximum entropy and the expectation-maximisation algorithms are found to be superior to the linear regularisation method.
