Abstract
We present calculations of the production cross-section of isomeric-state for 193Ir. The isomer was produced by neutron inelastic scattering, and several γγ-ray production cross-sections were measured at LANSCE with the GEANIE detector. The total isomer production cross-section is then inferred by combining the experimental data with the GNASH statistical model calculations. The spin distribution is calculated with the Feshbach–Kerman–Koonin (FKK) quantum mechanical pre-equilibrium theory, and it is incorporated with the GNASH results. We found that the inclusion of FKK has a significant impact on the isomer production cross-sections at high energies.
