Abstract
⺠We applied the running coupling approach to compute the effects of the infrared renormalons on the pion production in proton-proton collisions. ⺠For the wave functions of pions we used ones from holographic QCD. ⺠Infrared renormalon induced divergence is regularized by means of the principal value prescription. ⺠The Borel sum for the higher-twist cross section is found. ⺠The contributions of renormalon effects within holographic QCD in this process are essential.
