Abstract
⺠The chiral decomposition of Alvarez et al. is extended to a non-commutative particle. ⺠The chiral decomposition is used to derive the “exotic” Newton-Hooke symmetry. ⺠The “phase transition” when the effective mass changes sign is studied in detail.
