Abstract
► Scattered wave packet formalism provides a new method for open quantum systems. ► The number of grid points is greatly reduced for quantum dynamical calculations. ► This formalism allows accurate, efficient, and stable computations. ► This method can be more efficient than the integration of the non-Markovian TDSE.
