Abstract
Estimates for the efficiency of a tree are derived, leading to new analytical expressions for Barábasi–Albert trees efficiency. These expressions are used to investigate the dynamic behaviour of such networks. It is proved that the preferential attachment leads to an asymptotic conservation of efficiency as the Barábasi–Albert trees grow.
