Abstract
High-energy deuterons from a small (1.7 kJ) plasma focus device were studied by nuclear activation of a boron-carbide target. The ratio of 10B(d,n)11C and 12C(d,n)13N yields indicates a deuteron spectrum decreasing rapidly between 400 keV and 1 MeV. This spectrum could take the form of dNd/dEâEân with nâ9.
