Abstract
The experiments on the propagation of synchrotron radiation in resonant Mössbauer samples are analyzed. It is shown that in the course of coherent scattering processes, nuclear polaritons, characterized by different frequencies and equal group velocities, are created. The polariton interference causes the beats of the transmitted radiation, observed in experiments.
