Abstract
► Resonances determine vibrotational energy transfer in slow atom-diatom collisions. ► We obtain the molecular action changes from the Fourier expansion of the interaction. ► Vibrotational correlations depend on collision velocity and initial molecular state. ► The application to classical Li2Ne collisions explains experimental observations.
