Abstract
The motion of a classical (harmonic) oscillator is studied in the case where the oscillator is driven by a pulsed oscillating force with a frequency varying in time (frequency chirp). The amplitude and phase of the oscillations left after the pulsed force in dependence on the profile and strength of chirp, frequency and duration of the force is investigated.
