Abstract
We propose simple experimental scheme for direct measurement of the exponential phase moments of single-mode cavity field. The scheme is based on the adiabatic passage technique, and all the relevant quantities can be obtained directly from the measurement of atomic populations. We also point out that scheme can be used to measure Q-function of single-mode cavity fields and verify the phase-number uncertainty relation.
