Abstract
We propose a scheme to implement the optimal symmetric 1→21→2 universal or a set of z-component known phase-covariant quantum telecloning in 2-dimension based on cavity QED. The same procedure but with different experimental parameter setting can implement two types of quantum telecloning, respectively. The scheme is insensitive to the cavity field states and cavity decay, and operations required have been proposed. However there also exist many obstacles such as some technical problems to the manipulation of the atoms from one cavity into another cavity and the coherent control of a sequence of distinct interactions in four cavities, which are beyond our investigations. Therefore it can be realized in experiment in future.
