Abstract
A two-dimensional quasicrystal model based on the decagonal covering scheme is studied. The electronic energy spectrum is analyzed in the weak-bond approximation and the integrated density of states is obtained from the occupation probability of nine types of sites. We apply the periodic boundary conditions to a rhombus-like patch to perform numerical calculation, which supports the analytical results.
