Abstract
A discrete matrix spectral problem with two arbitrary constants is introduced, a coupled lattice soliton equation is derived through the discrete zero curvature representation. A Darboux transformation for the coupled lattice soliton equation is constructed. As an application, an explicit solution of the coupled lattice soliton equation is presented.
