Abstract
The transport properties of one-dimensional (1D) systems have been studied theoretically. Contradictory experimental results on molecular transport in quasi-1D systems, such as zeolite structures, when both diffusion transport acceleration and the existence of the diffusion mode with lower particle mobility (single-file diffusion (ãx2ãâ¼t1/2)) have been reported, are consolidated in a consistent model. Transition from the single-file diffusion mode to an Einstein-like diffusion ãx2ãâ¼t with diffusion coefficient increasing with the density has been predicted to occur at large observation times.
