Abstract
The supercarrier effective mass of a multiband pair-transfer superconductor is investigated. Using an interpolative multiband model for a “typical” cuprate the CuO2 plane mabmab is calculated on the whole doping scale. The trend of mabmab diminishing with progressive doping reflects the observed restoring of Fermi-liquid behaviour. The dependence of the penetration depth (λ−2λ−2) is nevertheless determined by the supercarrier density which has an expressed maximum near the optimal doping. The thermodynamic critical field behaves analogously. The pairing strength and the phase coherence develop simultaneously.
