Abstract
A compositionally new osmium oxide, Ca2InOsO6, which crystallizes in a double-perovskite structure, was synthesized through a high-pressure and high-temperature synthesis method. The crystal structure of Ca2InOsO6 was determined by X-ray diffraction to be monoclinic with the space group P21/n, like other double-perovskite osmium oxides. Magnetic measurements revealed that Ca2InOsO6 is antiferromagnetic below 14 K.
