Abstract
In order to obtain higher resolution for neutron radiography with thicker organic materials, neutron radiography with several hundred keV neutrons has been investigated. The experiments were carried out at the 4.5 MV Van de Graaff at Peking University. The 7Li(p, n) 7Be reaction was chosen to produce several hundred keV neutrons. A thin 6Li-based neutron converter was utilized in the experiment. The results showed that radiography with several hundred keV neutrons has greater penetration than thermal neutron radiography.
