Abstract
The fast multilayered scintillation detector (MSD) of the new telescope-spectrometer for the space experiment ALFA-ELECTRON planned to work on the outer surface of the Russian Segment (RS) of the International Space Station (ISS) is presented. The MSD spectrometer can measure an intensive flow (up to 10 MHz or higher) of electrons with energies of from 2 up to 20 MeV and their short-term variations (up to 1 ms). An apparatus physical characteristics and operation of the MSD are described. The results of the detector investigations in the mode of high intensities are demonstrated also.
