Abstract
A new polarized neutron diffractometer has been commissioned at the ORPHEE reactor in Saclay. Hot neutron beam of 0.8 Å is obtained by Heussler monochromator. 64 position sensitive detectors cover angular range of 25°×80° in vertical and horizontal directions, which allows performing measurements of flipping ratios for dozens of reflections simultaneously. Data acquisition and data treatment programs have been developed. Possibilities of multi-crystal experiments and studies of powder samples have been tested. Ensemble of these measures should boost the data acquisition rate of magnetization densities by a factor of 5-20 depending on the crystal cell parameters.
