Abstract
The paper presents the results of the studies of the functional coatings formed on titanium and its alloys, which possess a set of important properties for practical application. The cause and nature of changes in the charge transfer mechanism occurring at the hybrid (including the superhydrophobic nanocomposite) coating/electrolyte interface were determined. The influence of oxide inclusions and alloying elements, comprising the coatings on the electrochemical behavior of surface layers, as well as the intensity of the corrosion process was investigated.
