Abstract
A chemical co-precipitation technique is used to tailor magnetic properties of MnZn ferrite magnetic fluids. The present paper reports the structural and magnetic properties of thermosensitive Mn1−xZnxFe2O4, where x=0.5, 0.45, 0.35 and 0.3. The cation distribution obtained from the Rietveld refinement analysis suggests complete occupancy of zinc on tetrahedral site. The domain magnetization and Curie temperature increases from 210 to 320 kA/m, and 336 to 488 K, respectively with decreasing zinc concentrations.
