Abstract
In order to overcome the difficulties of conventional methods for measuring concentration of solid-phase in solid-liquid twophase flow, a unique measuring technique using electromagnetic induction with diluted magnetic fluid is applied to solid-liquid two-phase flow. In this method, 0.1 vol.% magnetic fluid diluted by distilled water was used. In order to verify the validity of the technique for measuring solid-liquid two-phase flow, experiments in actual solid-liquid two-phase flow with slanted flow channel was performed. The present measuring technique has been proved to be capable of valid for both pseudo-homogeneous flow and moving bed flow and can measure concentration of solid-phase at less concentration area of 0.84%.
