Abstract
► A 14 MeV neutron beam was used for the identification of waste in the barrel. ► The waste was composed of paint or benzene and cellulose lacquer wastes. ► Detection time depends on the carbon content. ► The carbon content of the barrel can be estimated by rotation of the neutron generator.
