Abstract
Spheroidic spinel Li4Ti5O12 has been synthesized by a facile method and following calcinations at different temperatures. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM) are used to characterize the structure and morphology of the as-prepared products. Galvanostatic method is used to test the electrochemical properties, and the results show that the spheroidic Li4Ti5O12 calcinated at 600 °C exhibits an outstanding capability of 175.45 mAh/g at 0.1 °C for the first cycle. The capacity retention after 40 cycles is 96.45%, indicating potential application for lithium ion batteries.
