Abstract
⺠Environmental dose in the vicinity of Tarapur nuclear power plant is estimated using gamma radiation monitoring data. ⺠Four-year continuous data with six different dose monitoring systems placed at 1 m height from the ground were analyzed. ⺠Wavelet based algorithm was developed for evaluating location specific background. ⺠Wavelet based algorithm was used for the precise detection of FPNG event superimposed on large ambient background. ⺠Results obtained with wavelet methods were compared with dispersion model estimates.
